Today’s Strands Notes, Spangram and NYT Answers for Tuesday, August 27th.
Introduction: Today’s Strands
Looking for Monday Strands tips, Spangrams and answers.
Hello everyone! Let’s work with today’s (very fun) beaches.
Today’s NYT Strands tips, spingrams and answers are right at your fingertips.
How to play with tar
The New York Times Strand Puzzle is a classic word search game. Now available on the NYT Games app (also in the Forbes Daily Games Guide), along with Wordle, Connections and more.
Every day there is a new beach game to play. The game displays a 6 x 8 letter grid. The goal is to find groups of words that have something in common. So you know what it’s about. When you find a topic word, it will be highlighted in blue.
You also need to find specific words called Spangram. This way you can find out which words appear frequently. Spangrams connect at least two sides of the board, but cannot start or end there. Topic words are not proper names, but spangrams. If a Spangram is found, it will be highlighted in yellow.
The pepper in the upper left corner and the onion in the lower left corner made me pay more attention to food than Pixar movies. I can’t believe I didn’t find it then.
Before I reveal the full list of words to others, I’ll first explain Spangram and show you where to find it on the Internet.
The first word I found next to “tomato” was not the capital word, but TODAY. In the lower right corner was an EGGPLANT. That’s when Spangram hit me hard: Ratatouille is one of my favorite Pixar movies! Cover the zucchini in the upper right corner with ingredients.
I didn’t use any clues and Spangram was the fifth topic I found.
