Eminem reveals he’s going to be a grandfather in the emotional video for “Temporary.”
Introduction: Eminem reveals
In the video for his new single,
“Temporary,” Eminem reveals
that he’s about to
become a grandfather.
The rapper, whose song “The
Death of Slim Shady
(Coup de Grace)” from his latest
album is dedicated to his daughter
Hailey Jade, surprises his
father with a T-shirt that reads “Grandpa” at
the end of the video. Number
one and a photo of the ultrasound.
The video is a compilation of footage of
Eminem and Hailey over the years,
interspersed with footage from
her wedding in May. In the clip, she
holds back tears when she first sees
him in a white dress and dances
with him in front of the audience.
Anyman dedicated the song
Anyman dedicated the song to
Jade and once rapped the lyrics
about reincarnation. “So Hailey
Jade, I wrote this song to help
you deal with life while I’m away.”
Shortly after the video was
posted, Jade posted a series of photos
on Instagram of herself and
McClintock having an ultrasound
with the caption, “Due next year.”
Jade and McClintock have been
together since 2016, announced
their engagement in February 2023
and have been married since May.
Haley herself announced her pregnancy on Instagram by posting a photo of herself and her husband with the caption, “Mom and Dad, born in 2025.” She first met her husband Evan McClintock in 2016 after meeting at Michigan State University.
“Temporary” featuring Skylar Gray is one of two songs from The Death of Slim Shady and dedicated to his children. Another single from the project, “Somebody Save Me” featuring Jelly Roll, is an apology to his children for his shortcomings as a father.
Eminem’s twelfth album was released in July following the release of the single Houdini and Tobey featuring Big Sean and Babytron. The project reached number one on the Billboard 200 and recently returned to the top 10 with the release of “Extended Edition of Grief.”
