Introduction: Donald Trump
Former US President Donald Trump
responded to Taylor Swift’s support
of Vice President Kamala Harris in the
Tortured Poets category on Tuesday after
the singer endorsed the Democratic candidate.
Trump was asked about Swift’s
comments in the Spin Room, where
reporters can ask questions of the candidates
and their surrogates after the
debate. He replied: I don’t know.
Shortly after Tuesday night’s presidential
debate ended, Swift shared a photo
of her cat, Benjamin Button, on Instagram,
captioning it as supporting Harris and Tim Walls.
Swift admitted that Trump used AI-generated
Swift admitted that Trump used AI-generated images to show her support, suggesting she must be aware of his true plans for the election. After JT Vance’s comments about childless people went viral, the pop star captioned the post, “Childless cat lady.”
Minutes after the end of the first presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, the pop phenomenon entered the endorsement era.
Alongside a photo of the singer holding one of her favorite cats, Swift wrote in her Instagram caption: “Like many of you, I watched the debate today. If you haven’t already, now is the time to learn about the positions and issues these candidates are taking on the issues that matter most to you.
In a four-paragraph message, Swift urged her 283 million followers to do research and vote ahead of the fall election.
Like many of you, you didn’t see the debate tonight. I’m sure you’ll agree with me about the issues at hand and the issues that are important to you, Swift wrote: See if you feel the same way. “As a voter, I try to monitor and read as best I can the policies and programs they are proposing for this country.”
This isn’t the first time Swift has endorsed a political candidate. He endorsed Joe Biden and Harris in 2020 and supported U.S. Senate candidate Phil Bredesen and Congressman Jim Cooper for re-election in Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District in 2018.
